Tempe, AZ, July 30, 2018 – SDC is proud to announce that two team members have been invited to speak at the 2018 Western Users of SAS Software (WUSS) Conference in Sacramento, CA on September 5-7.
Bharath Donthi, MS, Associate Director, SAS Programming, will present “Defensive Programming Techniques for Ongoing Clinical Studies.” His presentation will focus on techniques that help avoid the need to re-program datasets and table/listing outputs as the database is updated throughout the study. “Implementing defensive programming techniques minimizes the risk of errors when processing ongoing clinical trial data,” said Bharath. “It also allows programming to start earlier in the life of a study and reduces the need for rework as data change.”
Lingjiao Qi, PhD, Senior SAS Programmer, will present “Formatting Outputs for Clinical Trial Data to Aid in Readability.” In her presentation, she will share a variety of useful tools and techniques to format data in a reviewer-friendly output. “Well-formatted outputs greatly enhance readability and reduce review time; however, it is often a challenge for programmers to align different data types and formats when combining parameters,” explained Lingjiao. “We will discuss several techniques to increase output readability by aligning both character and numeric data in summary tables and supporting listings.”
Bharath and Lingjiao are co-authors on both abstracts. The date and time of their individual presentations has yet to be announced as of the time of this press release. For more information, please contact us at 480-344-5443 or data@sdcclinical.com.
