Tempe, AZ, December 20, 2018 – SDC sponsored the 7th Annual Ignite Hope holiday candlelight walk at Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH) on Saturday, December 8, 2018. This marks SDC’s fourth consecutive year supporting Phoenix Children’s Hospital as an Ignite Hope sponsor.
In addition to our corporate sponsorship, our team members raised $1,380 for Phoenix Children’s Hospital, earning recognition as one of the top 10 fundraising teams for the event. All donations benefit the hospital’s Hope Fund, which helps launch critical new programs, purchase essential equipment, conduct cutting-edge research, and provide charitable care and the child-friendly programs and services that make the hospital environment more comfortable for the patients.
Ignite Hope is an annual holiday tradition in the Phoenix area. Inspired by a brave patient named Katie whose friends held a candlelight vigil at the hospital while she battled cancer, Ignite Hope is an opportunity for the community to come together and show support for the patients fighting for their health. SDC also donated two large boxes of toys to Phoenix Children’s Hospital and provided gifts to a daycare center in Waltham, MA as part of our annual holiday toy drive.
